Our department members, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatih G\u00fcng\u00f6r<\/b> and Asst. Prof. Dr. Onur Uluda\u011f<\/b>, visited Universidad EAN<\/b> in Bogot\u00e1, Colombia, from January 26 to 30, as part of the Erasmus+ KA171 Staff Teaching Mobility program.<\/p>\n

On the first day of the visit, our faculty members held a panel titled <\/span>“Academic diplomacy: the strategic role of languages in international cooperation,”<\/span><\/i> sharing insights on the significance of languages in global academic relations<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Throughout the week, Dr. G\u00fcng\u00f6r and Dr. Uluda\u011f conducted various educational activities for both students and academic staff. <\/span>These included delivering lectures on <\/span>“Public Speaking”<\/span><\/i> and English proficiency to Universidad EAN students, as well as conducting workshops on <\/span>“English Medium Instruction (EMI)”<\/span><\/i> specifically designed for the university’s teaching staff<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

To conclude the mobility program, our delegation, accompanied by Universidad EAN representatives Lucy Guerrero Lindarte<\/b>, Victoria Dangond<\/b>, and Felipe Espinosa Torres<\/b>, had the honor of visiting the Turkish Ambassador to Colombia, Ms. Beste Pehlivan Sun<\/b>, at the Embassy. During the visit, the growing academic ties between the two nations and the vital role of linguistics in fostering these connections were discussed.<\/p>\n

The program, which also included meetings with the Faculties of Humanities and Business as well as cultural excursions, was successfully concluded, further strengthening the academic cooperation between the two institutions<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
