This week, we had the pleasure of hosting Dr. Artur Bartnik from The John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin through the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Program. On Monday, he participated in Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatih Güngör’s Reading Skills II course with freshman students, where he shared his valuable insights on Artificial Bilingualism. The following day, he attended Asst. Prof. Dr. Onur Uludağ’s Linguistics II class for sophomore students and the Structure of English class for freshman students. On Wednesday, Dr. Bartnik joined our first- and second-year students in a conversation session via Zoom, where they had the opportunity to ask him questions about linguistics, bilingualism, and the Erasmus+ program. During this session, the students also discussed the differences in teaching English as a foreign language between Poland and Turkey. We would like to express our gratitude to Dr. Bartnik for his amicable demeanor and for sharing his extensive knowledge with us. We hope to have the opportunity to host Dr. Bartnik again in the future.
