The Foreign Languages Education Department at Afyon Kocatepe University recently hosted another exciting Open Campus Day, welcoming students from Çay Anatolian High School’s Language Department. This event offered a special opportunity for high school students to experience the dynamic academic setting of our prestigious institution.
The day started with an inspiring lecture delivered by Dr. Uludağ, which focused on teaching English to young learners. Through hands-on activities and exercises, students gained a better understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities of teaching young children.
Following this lecture, students toured the university library and the Erasmus+ cafe, where they engaged in an instructive discussion with the department head, Dr. Güngör. The students were informed about the available Erasmus+ opportunities and the transformative experience that awaits them through international exchange programs.
Our continuous effort to promote academic achievement and mentor aspiring minds persists through each successive Open Campus Day. Continuing our tradition, we were thrilled to provide students with an opportunity to explore our university, engage with esteemed educators, and uncover the numerous opportunities available within the field of language education.
