ACCREDITATION PROCESSES AND STEPS TO FOLLOW DETAILED AT THE FACULTY OF EDUCATION
The Faculty of Education held a comprehensive meeting to evaluate quality assurance efforts and accreditation processes. The meeting, which aimed to analyze the current status and determine the steps to be taken in the accreditation journey of the departments within the faculty, was attended by the Dean, Vice Deans, Heads of Departments, and faculty members from the English Language Teaching, Preschool Education, and Primary Education departments.

Experts serving within the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Teacher Education Programs (EPDAD)—Prof. Dr. Gürbüz Ocak, Prof. Dr. İjlal Ocak, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Ramazan Yurtseven—shared critical insights regarding accreditation processes during the meeting.
The experts informed the academic staff about how the process should be managed by detailing all components of accreditation. In the presentations, which placed particular emphasis on the balance of “Input, Process, and Output,” technical information was provided regarding the points to be considered at these stages and the nature of the evidence to be collected.
Situation Assessment by Dean Prof. Dr. Nusret Koca
Prof. Dr. Nusret Koca, Dean of the Faculty of Education, who presided over the meeting, frequently intervened during the presentations to make important contributions regarding the current status of the faculty. Prof. Dr. Koca explained how theoretical knowledge aligns with the realities of the faculty and how current potential can be reflected in accreditation standards.
Interactive Q&A Session
In the final part of the meeting, which lasted approximately two hours, an interactive question and answer session was held with the active participation of the academic staff. Faculty members posed questions regarding situations encountered during accreditation preparations and potential scenarios. The meeting concluded with a discussion on the strategies to be followed in the upcoming period and the adoption of a common roadmap.
