On February 26, 2026, students of the English Language Teaching (ELT) program at the Afyon Kocatepe University Faculty of Education hosted an insightful talk with the English department heads of TED Afyon College, aimed at supporting their professional development.
Ms. Dilek Şahin, Head of the Kindergarten and Primary School English Department, and Ms. Gülşah Genelioğlu, Head of the Middle and High School English Department, attended the event as guest speakers. The experienced educators shared valuable insights with our prospective teachers on the following key topics:

Working experiences and career opportunities in private schools,

Core expectations of private educational institutions from future teachers,

The daily working and planning routines of an English teacher.
The highly engaging event concluded with an interactive Q&A session. After answering the students’ questions regarding the private education sector, Ms. Şahin and Ms. Genelioğlu kindly expressed that the doors of their institution are always open to our ELT students for future visits, professional guidance, and networking.
