Afyon Kocatepe University Faculty of Education, English Language Teaching (AKU FLED) students organized an exciting English Fest in collaboration with Asım Kocabıyık Preschool on 3 January 2025. As part of their Community Services course, AKU FLED students spent the day engaging preschoolers in fun and educational activities aimed at interactively improving their English skills.
The festival featured various creative games such as Hot and Cold, Color Hunt, Emotion Masks, Body Parts, Basic Actions, and Animals, which helped the young learners explore new vocabulary while having fun. Through these activities, the AKU FLED students demonstrated how learning English can be both enjoyable and meaningful for young children.
The event was an excellent opportunity for AKU FLED students to connect with the community and put their teaching skills into practice while creating joyful and memorable moments for the preschoolers. This collaboration showcases the importance of integrating education with community engagement and highlights the positive impact of such initiatives.
